Teaching Myself

I did it....almost. My first latte art (above)

I recently posted about wanting to learn something....being in the mood to take a class. One thing I mentioned was a class (preferably in Italy) on how to make those wonderful flowers and leaves and hearts and other such latte art.
The above was served to me in the Palermo, Sicily Opera House in 2007
This was the first one served to me in Florence in 2005.
I Googled for directions. Chased down a few. Went to a great cafe in the University District and watched the Barrista do several beautifully decorated pulls. This weekend I set out to do my own. I was so happy I made a second latte. Didn't turn out so well. But I had a great buzz going for the rest of the day.

Good work, Sis! I think you did marvelously. I love the pics you have of your international latte art. What great things to document! I sure wish I could enjoy one of your special ones with you. I could even go for two - and a buzz! Love you a latte! YKW

I think yours looks like a lovely NW fern! I am impressed! What fun drinking the practice ones!
